About Us
Home of the Highlanders!
Heritage Christian Primary & Preparatory School is a Christ-centered K–12 school dedicated to developing the whole child—spiritually, socially, and academically. Founded on a vision from the Lord in 2015, we strive for excellence while preparing students to be a light in the world. Through a rigorous, Biblically grounded education and a strong culture of servant leadership, our students—known as Highlanders—are equipped to impact their communities for Christ and pursue their highest potential.

Our Mission
Heritage exists to glorify God through Christ-centered excellence in education. We cultivate servant leadership, personal responsibility, and Biblical values while developing the whole child—spiritually, socially, and academically—to be a light in the world and leave a lasting legacy.

Our School Environment
At Heritage, we create an environment where students feel safe, respected, and supported. Classrooms are structured in a way that allow students to focus and grow. We promote mutual respect and reinforce respect for authority, building a culture of responsibility, character, and community.

Our Vision
Heritage exists to equip students to be a light in the world—not by sheltering them from it, but by preparing them spiritually, socially, and academically. We pursue excellence in all areas, challenging each child to reach their highest potential while remaining grounded in Christ.

Academics
At Heritage we are committed to academic excellence and personal growth. Our mission is to challenge and inspire students—and their families—to reach their highest potential through a rigorous curriculum, strong values, and a supportive community dedicated to lifelong learning. Grounded in faith and guided by purpose, we prepare students not just for school, but for life.

Admissions
Admission to Heritage Primary & Preparatory School is a thoughtful and selective process, designed to ensure the best fit between our school community and each prospective family. We seek students and families who are committed to our Christ-centered mission, value academic excellence, and are eager to engage in a vibrant school life grounded in character, purpose, and faith.

Student Life
Student Life at Heritage is full of energy, connection, and purpose. Beyond the classroom, our students engage in a wide range of activities that foster friendship, leadership, and personal growth. From clubs and service projects to spirit weeks, field trips, and special events, every experience is thoughtfully designed to build community and create lasting memories.

The Arts
At Heritage Primary & Preparatory School, The Arts are a vibrant cornerstone of our education program. Through dynamic programs in visual art, music, drama, and dance, students are encouraged to explore their creativity, express themselves confidently, and develop a deep appreciation for culture and aesthetics. From stage performances to art exhibitions, our young artists are given meaningful platforms to shine, nurturing imagination, discipline, and joy in every child.

Highlander Athletics
Highlander Athletics is where passion, teamwork, and school spirit come alive! Our competitive programs in Basketball, Volleyball, and Cheerleading empower students to build strength, discipline, and confidence—both on and off the court. Whether they’re scoring points, spiking balls, or leading cheers, our student-athletes represent Heritage with pride, resilience, and heart. The HYPE—our energetic school spirit group keeps it every game alive! Go Highlanders!

The Highlander Way
Rooted in our Christ-centered mission, we guide students to grow in faith, pursue academic excellence, and build resilient character that lasts a lifetime. With high standards in the classroom, a focus on personal responsibility, and a culture of kindness and integrity, our students are prepared to lead with courage, serve with compassion, and thrive in every area of life. At Heritage, we don’t just teach students—we equip Highlanders to walk in purpose and live by faith.

Why We Teach: Voices From Our Educators

Mrs. Amber Adams
First Grade Teacher

I love teaching at Heritage because our classrooms feel like family, rooted in faith and growing in grace together. Teaching these babies is my passion but teaching them to love like Jesus is my true calling.

Mrs. Jamie Marcum
Middle School Teacher

I love teaching at Heritage because I get to teach small classes, and that allows me to form strong bonds with my students.

Mrs. Netosha Mauk
Bible Teacher

I love teaching Bible at Heritage because it allows me to help students connect God’s Word to their daily lives and watch their faith grow alongside their education.

A Message from Headmaster Butcher
Heritage Christian Primary & Preparatory School was founded on a vision the Lord placed on my heart in late 2015—a calling not to shield children from the world, but to equip them to be a light within it. At Heritage, we believe that true education nurtures the whole child—spiritually, socially, and academically—with excellence as our standard in every area. Our mission is to inspire students to reach their highest potential while grounding them in unwavering faith and Christ-like character. This year, I’m deeply thankful for the dedicated team leading our school with wisdom, passion, and purpose. Their faithful leadership is allowing the vision to thrive as we continue advancing the mission God has entrusted to us. Thank you for being a valued part of the Heritage community.
